Sense and Sensibility is a 1995 British film directed by Ang Lee and starring Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet. The screenplay, written by the same actress, Emma Thompson, is based on the novel of the same name by Jane Austen, 1811.The attention that Thompson was dedicated to all the details of the plot of the story earned him the Oscar for best adapted screenplay.
